Today we were measuring the width of the playground using metres sticks. We estimated the width and them checked if we were right. As we are also learning about Pirates, we decided to see how long a small pirate ship was, we set our metre sticks end to end and marked where they went before moving them. We did this until we had measured 34 metres, then we spread ourselves out to see if we could touch each other. Wow! What a big ship.
