Bricks, Beads, and Big Ideas!π‘ π
Who knew LEGO bricks, K’nex rods, and a box of jewellery beads could teach us so much about teamwork? β
When we worked on these activities, we discovered that communication isn’t just about talking. Sometimes it meant pointing out a piece, showing someone how it fit, or stepping back to let someone else try their idea. π‘
We’ve been working together to create a LEGO city! Each child designed their own piece, and soon we’ll bring them all together to complete our very own Hive City. ποΈ π
The children have also loved experimenting with K’nex! They’ve been challenging each other to build snowflakes and domes — each one bigger and more creative than the last.
During “You Choose” time, jewellery making was a big hit. The children made a variety of beautiful earrings and necklaces. Their attention and concentration were amazing, and this activity really tested our patience (and gave us a few laughs when beads went rolling across the table).
We are looking forward to our last week in the hall before moving into our brand new classroom! βΊοΈ
