It was wonderful to welcome P5 back to school, and what better way to begin the New Year than with a splash of creativity! 🖌️🎉
P5 were given the exciting task of drawing a lotus flower, which in Chinese culture symbolises new beginnings and good fortune 🌸🍀 This linked perfectly with our New Year themes and our Mandarin lessons with the wonderful Jingying ☺️
After carefully drawing their lotus flowers, P5 used oil pastels to bring their artwork to life, focusing on adding light and dark tones to give their pictures more depth and definition 🎨🖍️
